Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 23, 2026

Welcome to the privacy policy of Pulp-app.io. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and what your rights are.

We recognize that Pulp serves a community whose privacy matters — queer women, trans, and non-binary people. We've designed our data practices to reflect that responsibility.

1. Who we are

Offline Studio
17 rue Eugène Varlin
75010 Paris, France

Contact: contact@pulp-app.io

2. Our commitments

  • We collect only what we need
  • We do not sell user data, ever
  • We do not use advertising networks or behavioral tracking
  • We respond to every user rights request

3. What data we collect

When you sign up for the Pulp waitlist, we collect:

  • Your email address
  • Your Instagram handle (if you provide one)
  • Your city or location (if you provide one)
  • Technical usage data: IP address, browser type, approximate location derived from IP, timestamps of visits

We do not currently collect sensitive personal data through the waitlist. When the Pulp app launches, we will collect additional data to provide the service (profile information, photos, location, messages). This policy will be updated before the app launches and you will be notified.

4. Why we collect it

We use your data to:

  • Review your waitlist application
  • Notify you when access to the app is available
  • Send occasional updates about Pulp's development and launch
  • Maintain basic security and prevent abuse
  • Respond to your questions

We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it for profiling.

5. Legal basis for processing

Under GDPR, we process your data based on:

  • Consent — for waitlist signup and marketing updates
  • Legitimate interests — for security and abuse prevention
  • Legal obligations — where required by law

You can withdraw consent at any time by emailing contact@pulp-app.io.

6. Who we share it with

We share your data only with service providers strictly necessary to run the waitlist:

  • Our email/waitlist provider — stores your email and sends updates
  • Our hosting provider — hosts the website

All providers are bound by data processing agreements compliant with GDPR. Some providers may process data outside the EU; where this happens, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.

We will never share your data with advertisers.

7. How long we keep it

We keep your waitlist data until:

  • You ask us to delete it, or
  • You accept or decline your invitation to the app, or
  • 24 months after signup if we haven't contacted you

After that, we delete it permanently.

8. How we protect it

We apply technical and organizational security measures, including HTTPS encryption for all traffic, access controls limiting who can view waitlist data, and secure storage with reputable providers.

No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps. If you want to report a security concern, email contact@pulp-app.io.

9. Data breach notification

If a data breach occurs that poses a risk to your rights, we will notify the French supervisory authority (CNIL) within 72 hours, as required by GDPR Article 33. Where the breach poses a high risk to you, we will also notify you directly and without undue delay.

10. Your rights under GDPR

You have the right to:

  • Access the data we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Delete your data ("right to be forgotten")
  • Export your data in a portable format
  • Object to processing
  • Withdraw consent at any time
  • Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (in France: CNIL, www.cnil.fr)

To exercise any of these rights, email contact@pulp-app.io. We will respond within 30 days. Requests are free of charge.

11. Age requirement

Pulp is strictly for users aged 18 and over. By submitting your data, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old.

12. Cookies

For information about cookies and trackers, please see our Cookie Policy (linked in the footer).

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Pulp evolves. If we make material changes, we will notify waitlist members by email. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
